In November, we had a lot of fun with our black glitter paper and our Cricut Artbooking cartridge. Love how many fun images are on our latest exclusive cartridge!
This project uses the Laughing Lola paper pack (purple B&T), Slate cardstock, Black cardstock, Lagoon cardstock, Goldrush cardstock, Black glitter cardstock (bats & SPOOKY). Everything is distressed with our amazing distressing inks in black. I love these because they're chalk inks and give a soft black look. We also accented the layout with metal-rimmed enamel badge buttons (NLA from the Pro Player Assortment) and our Slate polka-dot washi tape. The stamp set is Perfect Fit-Halloween and is still available for purchase at just $9.95! And, of course, our exclusive Artbooking Cricut cartridge for the house, bats, and title. If you'd like to know more about getting or using your cartridge, contact me and we can schedule some time together.
In December, our projects were more holiday themed layouts. Both were the same layout design from the "Imagine" how-to book (only $14.95!). Creating the same layout with different papers can be similar if using the same color scheme or it can be radically different. Get out your how-to books & give it a try!
This layout was made with the limited edition Sparkle & Shine paper pack, the stamp set from the same paper Workshop on the Go, Juniper cardstock, Ruby cardstock, White Daisy cardstock, Slate cardstock, Slate ink pad, Silver polka-dot washi tape, and Aqua Dots embellishments. FUN!
And for a slight variation....
Many of the same colors and items were used: Juniper cardstock, Ruby cardstock, Slate cardstock, Slate ink pad, and Silver polka-dot washi tape. This also uses the Sparkle & Shine Workshop on the Go stamp set. The paper pack used here though is Frosted (NLA) and the Classy Doily stamp set (single stamp). Additional supplies are Ruby ink pad, Juniper ink pad, Ruby marker set, and clear sparkle flourishes. This style of flourishes are not available any longer but there are many other styles in both clear and black.
In January, Sarita was the paper pack we used. Great paper and very versatile! Using the layout from the Workshop on the Go brochure, we created this layout but used different stamps since this Workshop on the Go kit is no longer available even though the paper pack still is.
Using Goldrush cardstock as a base, this layout also uses Lagoon cardstock and Colonial White cardstock. What looks like washi tape is actually cardstock stamped in Goldrush ink and Outdoor Denim ink using the Geometric Backgrounds stamp set. This stamp set is found in the Autumn/Winter 2013 catalog, but did you know that all of the stamp sets in that book are currently still available? You can always order stamps from one catalog prior to the current one. COOL! The stamped sentiments are from Love Life and that's one of my favorite sets for how versatile it is. Check it out on page 94 of the Autumn/Winter catalog! Using the Aqua Dots again, I also used Colonial White embroidery floss and brads.
Last but not least as it seems it was a favorite among the club members able to come by on Super Bowl Sunday, is our February layout. This layout was inspired 90% by a super cute layout by Linda Pantalone. I used her base design and photo mat placement to create our project:
Using the new Lollydoodle paper pack for the patterned paper, we also stamped the large scribbled circle from Oodles of Doodles stamp set in Pear ink on Pear cardstock. Creating your own patterned paper is fun & easy! Other cardstocks used are the Silver glitter paper, White Daisy cardstock, and narrow strips of Hollyhock cardstock. The cute foxes & I Love You are from the Wild About Love February Stamp of the Month set in Slate ink (can you see one of my fav new colors, lol). The hearts were from the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and on the left page you can see that by folding the hearts and gluing just one side back to back to another heart's opposite side you can create a 3D heart to put on the OUTSIDE of your page protector for more dimension in your scrapbooks. Grey baker's twine gives that finishing touch.
A couple other projects from our new catalog during February were these two cards, one using an embossing folder for a great textured background. With this month's special of buying two paper packs of cardstock & receive a FREE embossing folder of your choice, this is the perfect time to play.
The first card is inspired by one made Sheryl Levinson with new products from our Spring/Summer 2014 catalog: Dreamer stamp set and Balloon Ride paper pack. Tried & true items also used are Kraft cardstock, Sorbet cardstock, Crystal Blue cardstock, Sorbet ink pad, Chocolate ink pad, Champagne ink pad, and corner rounder.
The second card is simple and easy using the Damask embossing folder on Hollyhock cardstock layered on a Blush cardstock base. Rounding it out with neutrals of White Daisy and Black this card is great for mass assembling of a notecard gift set. The stamp set is a former stamp of the month but you can purchase a similar set on page 27 of the new catalog (Inspiration Flourishes).
So, I hope everyone stuck with me this long. LOL. Those of you that know me know I tend to ramble, lol, but I wanted to be sure y'all could figure out exactly what was used if you'd like to recreate any of the projects. Thanks for hanging in there!!
